Deer Valley Resort will invest $8 million in improvements for the 2008 season. Improvements include replacing the existing Cushing 's Cabin and remodeling the Empire Canyon Lodge. The new Cushing 's Cabin will seat 40 to 45 guests and house Flagstaff Mountain Ski Patrol. The Empire Canyon Lodge will now feature additional seating in the upstairs and improvements in the beverage and service area.

In the past 24 months, The Canyons has spent over $10 million dollars expanding terrain and upgrading the resort. The new Dream Catcher lift accesses over 200+ new acres of tremendous tree skiing and wide-open runs. The Tombstone Express lift has been upgraded to a high-speed 6-pack increasing uphill capacity by 52%. New cabins were added to the Cabriolet lift whisking guests from the parking area to the gondola faster then ever. Talisker has recently completed its purchase of The Canyons and will be investing in exciting expansion and upgrade programs.
